Year 2 trip to West Wittering Beach.  

This was a wonderful experience for the children to visit the seaside to enhance their learning about coast lines and the sea and gave them the opportunity to write up some lovely setting descriptions and stories. 

This visit will support the children in their history and geography work over the next half term. 

They looked at how the Vikings and other early settlers lived in Britain and their daily lives.

On Friday Year 1 had an exciting day visiting The Beale Wildlife Park.

This visit linked to their science and geography topic: Animals - the children learnt about the different groups of animals i.e mammals, fish, reptiles and amphibians - they also wrote a postcard describing their experience.

As part of their "Growing" topic this half term, our foundation children had a visit from a mobile farm on Thursday.

Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 enjoyed an energetic drama workshop where they stepped into the world of puppets and toys.

Using movement, expression and plenty of imagination, the children acted out different characters, from floppy puppets to wind‑up toys.

The session was full of creativity, teamwork and laughter, giving everyone a chance to perform and play in a fun, imaginative space.

The children who attended the athletics event showed great determination, teamwork and sportsmanship. It was a wonderful opportunity for the children to challenge themselves and celebrate one another’s achievements.

Year 3 thoroughly enjoyed their Shang Dynasty workshop on Wednesday as part of this half term's history unit. The children had the opportunity to explore:

• the important people of the Shang Dynasty,
• the role of Fu Hao,
• what life was like,
• the role religion played in society,
• the dramatic downfall of the dynasty.

Parents and children decorated their own pumpkin to help us create a festive pumpkin patch!
